OUR APPROACH
Enabling a cleaner future
Over the past 20 years of developing projects in Ireland, we fully understand the needs of Irish communities. Our projects are embedded in the local communities where our projects are located. Our approach has always been, and will continue to be, close co-operation and consultation with our local communities including the fisheries industry, public bodies and agencies and all stakeholders. We take a long-term interest in the communities we work in. Communication from the outset is very important to us. We want to engage with the local community to shape the development and design of the project in advance of any planning application. Public consultation and engagement are our priority for this subsea hydrogen storage project. We work with local stakeholders, fisheries/seafood industry and community groups to support the localities where our projects are located. Our ethos is that by fostering relationships and collaborating with communities together we create a cleaner, greener, locally affluent, and more sustainable future.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUNDS
Community Benefit
Galetech is committed to community benefit funds for all of its projects. A community benefit fund will be set up for this hydrogen storage project when the project becomes operational.
Details are to be finalised e.g. community initiatives fully funded and/or partial funding with matched funding from other sources. Updates on our community benefit fund will be posted to our website and if you have any queries in the meantime, please do get in contact with us.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
Community Opportunities
Our organisation has organically grown in Ireland since the year 2000. We value working with local supply chain companies and generating local economic benefit and employment. This project will generate national and regional economic benefits including jobs by using local businesses and providing supply chain opportunities during construction and operations e.g. civil works, electrical engineering works, marine transport, survey vessels, design and engineering specialists, operations and maintenance services. We look forward to working with the local supply chain in Ireland.
